Performance Composites Limited have a broad composite engineering
base capable of producing components of all types whilst specialising
in the manufacture of structural and dynamic components by
filament winding or from Prepreg materials
Our Carbon fibre structural profiles and precision tubes offer
performances that other materials cannot match, and are finding
increasing application for lightweight jigs & fixtures
and for machine frames
We produce tubes up to 1200mm dia. and up to 5500mm long designed
to withstand all types of static and dynamic loadings
Our computer controlled filament winding machine can wind
any angle from ± 0° to ± 90°, designed
and built to our own specification it's modular construction
allows quick and economical modification to cope with a variety
of sizes. The technology we have developed produces filament
wound tubes with the outside diameter finished offering significant
benefits in terms of quality, performance and costs.
We have supplied precision lightweight fixtures to a major
motor manufacturer resulting in an increased production rate
of 30% as well as Carbon Fibre / Epoxy Tubes drive shafts
to several UK companies
We have also supplied various components to the marine industry including
- GRP Fin assemblies for survey towed bodies (MOD n. Taunton)
- GRP Rudder tubes for TRENT & SEVERN RNLI boats
- GRP Masts for submarines
- Carbon Fibre Pressure Cylinders for UW instruments
- Carbon Fibre handling poles
- And work completing the centre pole for the millennium dome(Pictured left)
We have full composite laminate stressing facilities including
finite element analysis.
We normally manufacture 'to order' however are prepared to
carry stocks of any items that are used regularly and our
production facilities offer great flexibility resulting in
competitive delivery times and pricing
